Should I buy the SportsArt E825 Elliptical Trainer - E825 - Model 562911?

life changing

I decided about a year ago as we were building a new house that one room would be a fitness room. At 43, it was time to take things seriously.

From there I knew I wanted a large space to utilize a library of fitness dvds and some weights and then one primary piece of cardio equipment.

That's when I began my research. I decided on an elliptical as it was always rated the best all around piece of equipment because it works more muscles in your body while combined with cardio than any other piece of equipment while also not stressing your joints like a treadmill because, while it still uses resistance, each movement is tuned to your body.

From there, I began months of research into WHICH elliptical I wanted. And this went from Consumer Reports reviews, to talking to personal trainers, to nightly reading on the internet and looking at repair statistics. When I invest in something, I never impulse buy. I look at shopping like a sport...I will not spend heavy dollars until I know unbiased opinions on what's the best. And I won't assume something is good just because of marketing or price. That doesn't always tell the whole tale. I just want the best investment.

I knew I wanted a piece of commercial equipment. The savings in repairs were undeniable versus that of plastic-part laden lightweight home ellipticals. I knew the turning mechanism had to be in the back for best built and, after much reading, I knew it had to be a sportsart for quality and effectiveness. I had NEVER heard of Sportsart before but it kept coming out the winner.

Still, no reviews matter if something is not effective. I've lost 30 pounds in 3.5 months and have maintained my new goal weight of 117 lbs ever since. I've never had muscles and I am now so fit..this built up lean and long and strong muscles in my arms, legs, and lifted my rear. You push and pull with resistance and push down and foreward on the pedals and even though I was using an elliptical at the gym for a few months before I got it, this seems to use more muscles because there was new soreness from new muscle use when I got it.

I no longer take blood pressure pills which saves me $600 bucks a year so I figure my health benefits may just pay for themselves. I have more energy, can do more things, and even though I only lasted minutes on the elliptical when I started doing it, I can go as long as I want now.

I was only using my elliptical a few days a week and alternating with fitness dvds but I found my best results were with the elliptical so now even if I want to do a fitness dvd I do a half of one and then do the ellipitical for the rest of the work out and alternate that with days of only using the elliptical.

I have a tv in our workout room and I turn it on and just ride away during my favorite shows and, according to my bodybugg calorie readout this burns more calories than any other piece of equipment I was using at the gym. It also has a heart rate monitor read out but I wear a bodybugg to tell me how many calories I burn each day and it's rated the most accurate in comparison to a heart rate monitor so I can say with certainty that you'll get your heart rate up quickly and keep it there to burn fat and get heart healthy.

Negatives: Clearly I'm an idiot about putting electronics together because I needed help doing it. This wasn't exactly ride n go.

Conclusion: I never turn it off and it's worked smoothly, effectively, effortlessly and with better results than I've ever gotten before doing ANYTHING. You'll feel and see results and get your heart rate up quickly without stressing joints. I haven't regretted my purchase for a second and would buy a SportsArt again if I ever need to upgrade for any reason if technology changes into something even better out there.
